Is human dignity an ethical principle for journalism world-wide? If so, what does that mean exactly? For intercultural communication, human dignity is especially promising as a standard for the media. Applications are made to the social media and world events, to show how the ethics of human dignity can make the press socially responsible.

Clifford Christians is the Research Associate Professor of Communications and Associate Professor of Journalism of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.He has published many influential books, includingResponsibility in Mass Communications,Communication Ethics and Universal Valuesandthe Ethics of Intercultural Communication, etc.Professor Clifford Christians’s work in the area of media ethics education from 1976 through 1984 has influenced the way media ethics is taught to many college students today.
Clifford Christians是伊利諾伊大學(xué)香檳分校新聞學(xué)榮譽(yù)教授，媒體研究榮譽(yù)教授。琴斯教授是媒介倫理領(lǐng)域全球知名學(xué)者，曾出版《大眾傳媒的責(zé)任》，《傳播倫理與普世價(jià)值》，《跨文化傳播倫理》等著作。在1976年至1980年期間，Clifford Christians教授致力于媒介倫理教育。其當(dāng)時(shí)的教育理念深刻地影響著當(dāng)今許多高校教授媒介倫理課的方式。
