主講人簡(jiǎn)介：
JoseSousa-Santos is a strategic and security analystand researcher with 20+years’ experience in fragile and conflict-affected states in the Asia Pacific.He is the principle researcher on a study mapping gangs and armed groups in thePacific Islands region and the intersection with transnational crime; aresearcher on the Massey University project “Ungoverned Spaces: PrivateSecurity in the Pacific;” and a contributor to IHS Jane’s Intelligence onpolitical and security risk in the Asia Pacific with a focus on the Pacificislands region.
Mr Sousa-Santos has held positions as anadvisor on the gang taskforce, security sector reform and conflict preventionto the Prime Minister and President of Timor Leste, HE Dr Jose Ramos-Horta;lead analyst on extremist groups, gangs and spoilers with the Joint MissionAnalysis Center, United Nations Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste; and as anadvisor to the Norwegian Refugee Council on conflict prevention, mediation andsecurity risk. He is a former member of the Australian Defence Force and hasalso served as an intelligence analyst with the New Zealand Police.
